"When
you're finally playing 'Romanza' by ignoring all the rulesand taking a different approach,
you're going to wonder why you ever thought
it was difficult in the first place . . ."
This is NOT ROCKET
SCIENCE......
Most guitarists who
are
'into' Spanish or Classical Guitar will have had a go at learning this
piece.
he piece has that
classic 'Spanish Sound' in 3/4 time using triplets all the way through.
I've watched many people
play this piece and frankly, I was always puzzled by the way they played it.
I am more a
ragtime/blues guitarist and it never occured to me that I should play those triplets
using my fingers only, when
I had a perfectly good thumb standing around idle for most of the piece.

Also, the first half of
the piece is fairly straighforward, if not
particularly easy for raw beginners, but the real problem comes
in when you get to the
second half.
There is a big stretch
from the first to the fourth fret followed
immediately by
a difficult (even for me) barre across the second fret whilst holding a
'non standard' chord stretching to the fifth fret (even sounds scary
doesn't it)
The Solution
hat I did
was to spend
a few days with the piece and re-jigged it. I wanted to make the piece
more accessible to the less advanced player by making the whole piece
more.......playable.
So out went the
'fingers only' triplet playing and in came the thumb. You'll find
things a LOT easier now, especially if you play different styles
of
guitar and haven't had any formal Classical training.
I know that even experts would have a
problem spotting the changes . . .
Then I
took out the three big stretches in the second half of the piece. There
are two right at the beginning and one almost at the end. The thing is
. . . I have only taken out two bass
notes from the whole piece and I
know that even experts would have a problem spotting the changes.
When you have
played the piece through a few dozen times (I've played it through a
few hundred in case you were wondering) you'll be wondering why you
found it so difficult to play before.
So now you'll finally be able to play this
world
renowned piece of guitar music.
You'll just be dying for the next person

THE PRICE GOES UP
In order
to get the most people possible able to play this piece I've broken it
down so it is not just a 'one video''
lesson it's 5 Videos.
Based on my Single videos that means it should have a price tag of
around $50. That's probably more than people are used to paying (but I
know lots of people would be happy to pay that price because they've
told me)
So when I first thought
about price, I decided that it should probably be around the $20 mark.
Of course we never price anything using 'round' figures so I suppose
it'll end up being $19.99 or $19.97, and that is what I intend to
charge for this
'Video Tuition Set'.
The good news is, because I know that there is a big market for this
particular video, I think at this stage I can afford to put the time
and effort into producing this, and still be able to sell it at the
same price as one of my regular video lessons.
So, for
the next 10 days of this promotional period, I am offering this
video set at the lower price:
